PhD Defence: Alexandros Bakas
On Thursday, February 15th, Alexandros Bakas successfully defended his PhD related to Applied Cryptography and Privacy.
During his PhD, Alex has been working on what I informally refer to as "Black Magic"—finding mathematical ways to treat encrypted data as if they were unencrypted, thus keeping potentially sensitive information hidden.
This is a significant event for NISEC, as it has been a while since we had a PhD dissertation. Hopefully, more will come soon!
